Light speed and time dilation CON-frickin-FUSED?

If it takes light from the sun 8 mins to get to earth. If we were to travel from earth to the sun and back (forget melting your face off) at half the speed of light. I think that should take about 32 mins from someone whos observed from earth but would it only take 16 mins for the guys in the spacecraft because of time dilation and if so thats the time it takes light to go back and forth? Or am i being really stupid?
